Cogiscan, the leading track, trace and control solution provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, has been awarded a 2012 NPI Award in the category of Labeling Equipment for its LabelScan Automated Vision System. The award was presented to the company during a Tuesday, February 28, 2012 ceremony that took place at the San Diego Convention Center in California.

The new handheld vision system can take a single image of all the fields on a supplier’s barcode label. The turnkey solution features an advanced algorithm to recognize the different fields of data and transfer this data in a suitable format to any application used for receiving materials, such as an MES, MRP or ERP.
