BROMONT, CANADA – April 2013 – Juki Automation Systems announces that it will exhibit their new line software in Booth #7-333 at the SMT Hybrid Packaging exhibition and conference, scheduled to take place April 16-18, 2013 at the Messezentrum in Nuremberg, Germany.
The Juki line software solution was developed in collaboration with their long term partner Cogiscan. The software is a natural extension of the award-winning IFS Intelligent Feeder System for Juki placement machines. It provides the same level of closed-loop validation, tracking and traceability for other types of SMT machines and related materials. Juki offers this software under the existing OEM reselling agreement as an extension of IFS.
The new line software connects the Juki intelligent feeder system with the new ISM (Intelligent Storage Management) modules from Juki. By sharing component usage and inventory in real-time both systems provide a completely automated solution to minimize labor and downtime associated with product changeovers and feeder replenishments.
The Juki line software is also integrated with the Juki screen printer and reflow oven. The Juki line software tracks and validates all tooling and consumables, including solder paste, stencils, squeegees, etc. The Juki line software also validates that all machine programs and associated parameters, such as reflow profiles, match the active product that is running on the line. All of this data is combined with the original IFS traceability report, featuring the highest level of component-level traceability, down to the Reference Designator.
Offering complete line-level and factory-level solutions requires more than putting together a series of good machines. It requires an integrated software with a common user interface and a central database to track all materials flowing through the factory. The Juki line software ties together the incoming data from all machines. Since this solution is based on the Cogiscan platform, it also can be integrated with other vendors’ equipment, which is a key requirement for a factory-wide TTC system.
