According to
McKinsey & Company, Industry 4.0 is the next phase in the digitization of manufacturing driven by the rise in data volumes, computational power, and connectivity. Under the partnership, Keysight will integrate Cogiscan connectivity technology as part of the Keysight
PathWave Analytics platform, a central element of the company’s Industry 4.0 strategy. First, on the data acquisition side, Keysight will leverage Cogiscan Co-NECT machine interfaces to collect data from various brands and models of surface mount technology (SMT) equipment. In addition, Cogiscan Track Trace and Control solutions will integrate seamlessly with PathWave Analytics for complete factory automation.
“Electronics manufacturers are struggling to deal with high volumes of data brought by Industry 4.0,” said Daniel Mak, Keysight Manufacturing Technology Senior R&D Director. “Keysight’s PathWave provides manufacturing teams with actionable advanced analytics combined with Cogiscan’s Track, Trace and Control solutions enables data collection and acquisition throughout the entire electronics PCBA manufacturing line, from assembly, automated inspection, in-circuit test to final test. By streamlining data collection and acquisition and gathering actionable information, electronics manufacturers will be able to accelerate time-to-market and cut down on waste.”
“Cogiscan is very excited about this new partnership,” said Mitch DeCaire, Global Director, Equipment Partnerships at Cogiscan. “Keysight is a highly respected technology leader and we are proud to become their strategic partner for their Industry 4.0 technology roadmap.”
