Cogiscan , Mossman Tebbs and Juki Automation Systems introduce the RFID Smart Feeder Storage Cart for Juki feeders
02 December 2008
Cogiscan Inc., the leading track, trace and control solutions provider for the electronics manufacturing industry, in collaboration with strategic partners Mossman Tebbs and Juki Automation Systems, is pleased to announce the introduction of the new RFID Smart Storage Cart for Juki feeders.

This new product complements the award-winning IFS-X2 intelligent feeder system that was developed in collaboration between Juki Automation Systems and Cogiscan. The new intelligent feeder storage cart will provide the capability to automatically detect all Juki intelligent feeders in offline storage carts. This will achieve an unprecedented level of visibility for all components and feeders outside of the assembly line.

According to Chris Walsh from Mossman Tebbs : “This is a significant milestone for us. We have been working with Cogiscan for some time already, incorporating their RFID technology in other models of feeder storage carts. In parallel we have been working with Juki customers to meet their demands for rugged and cost-effective feeder storage. Now we combine those two things into one very unique product. Juki customers will be able to choose from a range of feeder storage options, with or without intelligence. They can even start with the basic low-cost configuration and later upgrade to the intelligent version on their factory floor.”

Bob Black,CEO of Juki Automation Systems stated, “We are very pleased with this new product introduction. This is a great example of how we work with strategic partners to offer greater value and the lowest cost of ownership to our customers. A growing number of our new and existing customers are experiencing the benefits of IFS-X2 feeder intelligence and now they will be able to get even more value from this very powerful system. The intelligent storage cart will tell the operators exactly where to get the components and feeders that are needed for the next job or replenishment. ”
